I will never "know" what your life has been, as reading about it doesn't come close to "experiencing" it. But it is important for all of us to hear your words.
Thanks for taking the time to read, reflect, and respond. The biggest part of the healing journey for most of us is being able to know that there are things that we don’t know. I think trying to find safety. Uncertainty has been the number one cause of oppression in our society. Every single one of us is a mystery— even to ourselves. So how can we think that we know everything about anyone. But a healthy embrace of the unknown is what keeps us perpetually learning, growing, and being intentional about who we are becoming. It would be awesome if you shared this with at least one person and held space for a conversation. I am very much into capacity building. Every time we stretch, even a little bit, it expands our relational universe. Blessings to you on your journey.
This is exactly why I’m such a big advocate for Art. I can’t say it enough. Art has to lead the way because artist bring what hasn’t been into the realm of being. Through art are broken selves become healed, systems of harm become systems for wholeness, and we realize that Einstein was right when he said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge.”
